The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Felix Gonsalve during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Rayo Cruel booed when Laprida was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Gonsalve didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tobias Canor came out and tried to block the shot, but Florencio Tauro slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 35th minute. Felix Gonsalve was shown his second yellow card after 37 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Felix Gonsalve kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. If Victorio Tomi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute.
