An unexpected shot in the 13th minute by Albino Hug got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Gervasio Lesardo hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. In the 30th minute Benigno Toro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anacleto Orlan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Anibal Joseph fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sportivo Corrientes's protests and gave Anibal Joseph a yellow card for diving instead. After 32 played minutes Sportivo Corrientes got a freekick which was hit by Anibal Joseph. Teotihuacanos's Angelo Barbosa got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 44th minute, Honorio Garoa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 45th minute of the match Gerardo Mikelar sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Anacleto Orlan skillfully saved the ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Angelo Barbosa made a kick off. Albino Hug received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Carlos Monte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 54 minutes, Freddy Santo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Teotihuacanos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Freddy Santo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 55th match minute, Teotihuacanos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albino Hug to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Sportivo Corrientes's Benigno Toro got a free kick in the 57th minute. Carlos Monte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angelo Barbosa in the 59th minute of play. After 61 played minutes Sportivo Corrientes got a freekick which was hit by Arnoldo Matro. Delmar Ikatz didn't quite understand what happened when in the 63 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. The supporters of Teotihuacanos booed when Sportivo Corrientes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Froilan Dacio didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 69 minutes Sportivo Corrientes's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Delmar Ikatz who took care of the corner kick. Albino Hug might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Carlos Monte. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Albino Hug ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 72nd minute, Gerardo Mikelar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Carlos Monte came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Teotihuacanos's Angelo Barbosa. But to his dismay, Angelo Barbosa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. If Angelo Barbosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 85 minutes into the game, Teotihuacanos's Albino Hug nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Carlos Monte made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Albino Hug recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Angelo Barbosa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute.
