A collision led to Futbol Club Belgrano getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Freddy Peyo hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iker Tonete in the 24th minute of play forced Futbol Club Belgrano's goalkeeper Francisco Romelio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Francisco Romelio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andres Quilino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fermin Marquez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnulfo Tximitx having to interfere. 28 minutes into the game, Benigno Pedroso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Futbol Club Belgrano's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Real Cañuelas Futbol Club the free kick. In the 28th match minute, Futbol Club Belgrano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benigno Pedroso to maneuver through the defense. Real Cañuelas Futbol Club's Iker Tonete got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Real Cañuelas Futbol Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Saverio Argi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Paolo Frasco's late challenge caught a Futbol Club Belgrano's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paolo Frasco helped the player get up and apologised.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Andres Quilino to make the kick off. Francisco Romelio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Iker Tonete's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. After 55 played minutes Futbol Club Belgrano got a freekick which was hit by Romulo Pere. In the 56th minute, Dionisio Lobo fired a really elegant long shot, but Francisco Romelio threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. Andres Quilino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Francisco Romelio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice moves Iker Tonete could shoot a difficult shot in the 87th minute, which Francisco Romelio however easily saved by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reynaldo Selatse in the 95th minute of play forced Real Cañuelas Futbol Club's goalkeeper Arnulfo Tximitx to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
