In the 4th minute, Reynaldo Selatse got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fermin Marquez's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Dalmacio Constancio firmly grabbed it by the left post. Federico Micael recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dalmacio Constancio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reynaldo Selatse, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Maximiliano Timo hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. In the 14th minute, Fermin Marquez reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Dalmacio Constancio. The goal made the score 1-0. Club Villa Mitre's Dalmacio Constancio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Club Villa Mitre from getting a goal against them. After 18 played minutes Futbol Club Belgrano got a freekick which was hit by Benigno Pedroso. If Federico Micael had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benigno Pedroso's late challenge caught a Club Villa Mitre's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Benigno Pedroso helped the player get up and apologised. Dalmacio Constancio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reynaldo Selatse, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fermin Marquez got free with Dalmacio Constancio in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 39 played minutes Club Villa Mitre got a freekick which was hit by Rafael Orixe. If Sergio Viator had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 43 minutes into the game, Club Villa Mitre's Federico Micael nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Francisco Romelio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Federico Micael was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Futbol Club Belgrano's goal looked a bit too open when Federico Micael came free, but Francisco Romelio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Reynaldo Selatse received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Dalmacio Constancio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 57 minutes, Reynaldo Selatse managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Futbol Club Belgrano's supporters crossed their fingers, but Reynaldo Selatse was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 80thth minute of the game Federico Micael who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Futbol Club Belgrano's Francisco Romelio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Futbol Club Belgrano's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Federico Micael 85 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-2. If Reynaldo Selatse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
