Leonides Gipuzkoa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victoriano Maura having to interfere. Nemesio Eron's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ulises Rafe read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. Hernan Osoitz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Ulises Rafe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Los teutones booed when Gitanox was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isaias Guifre didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 45 played minutes, Los teutones's Augusto Cayo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ulises Rafe came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Los teutones reached it. Isaias Guifre hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. If Hernan Osoitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The wind increased when Hernan Osoitz made the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nemesio Eron got free with Ulises Rafe in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Nemesio Eron came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Los teutones fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nemesio Eron couldn't finish the play. Leonides Gipuzkoa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 93 minutes of play, Los teutones's Hernan Osoitz made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ulises Rafe was left in no man's land by his defense there!
