Sugar Football Club's Prudencio Montes got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leonides Gipuzkoa got free with Tadeusz Magdziarz in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Anier Uxio fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sugar Football Club's protests and gave Anier Uxio a yellow card for diving instead. After having played for 37 minutes, Salvador Stanislao managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sugar Football Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Salvador Stanislao was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Sugar Football Club booed when Gitanox was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Candido Bernabel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sugar Football Club's Salvador Stanislao got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Salvador Stanislao might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ulises Rafe. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Salvador Stanislao ran back to his position shaking his head. When the final whistle sounded Sugar Football Club left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Gitanox.
