The Cacheuta AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. After 15 minutes, Maximino Lopez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cacheuta AFC and the Esquina players grew even worse after the yellow card. Cacheuta AFC's Eustaquio Sal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Celestino Walme in the 42nd minute of play. Gregorio Quinten received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Saul Enmanuel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Saul Enmanuel made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Timoteo Erauso sent off a good shot on target. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gregorio Quinten to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Cacheuta AFC's zone, Atilano Ramos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eustaquio Sal came out of the goal and Atilano Ramos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Cacheuta AFC support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
