Niceto Reno came out of the goal and Wilfredo Lluques tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Feliberto Elorri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberto Sal having to interfere. 1-1 became the score in the 34th minute when Cleto Bernal elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 40th match minute, Lugano FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aristides Quinteros to maneuver through the defense. Aaron Oidor spun around in front of the goal 42 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Lugano FC's goal. In the 48thth minute of the game Feliberto Elorri who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ledesma's Alberto Sal was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cleto Bernal to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Aaron Oidor managed to get in a good position for a shot. After 60 played minutes Feliberto Elorri could catch the ball where he stood relatively free a bit outside the goal and without hesitation he completed 1-2 into the left cross. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Feliberto Elorri in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alberto Sal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Lugano FC's Godofredo Louis got a free kick in the 68th minute. After 72 minutes of play, Lugano FC's Feliberto Elorri made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alberto Sal was left in no man's land by his defense there! Lugano FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Feliberto Elorri was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cleto Bernal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Niceto Reno having to interfere. Aaron Oidor blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Niceto Reno having to make a save.
