In the 15th minute Nicasio Balesio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pascual Hever saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Ivan Henrico managed to get in a good position for a shot. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rigoberto Medero stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Club Atlético José Mármol booed when Paraná IV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victoriano Raymond didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Paraná IV's Pascual Hever got control of the ball when Basilio Oliverio tried to sneak it across the goal line. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pascual Hever showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Eustacio Refugio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Club Atlético José Mármol succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Paraná IV had controlled the match.
