Mussa FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Racing Club the free kick. The supporters of Racing Club booed when Mussa FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Palben didn't get a good kick on the ball. Honorio Dubardo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 13th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gonzo Reyes. Mussa FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Mussa FC's attentive Hilario Jaizki managed to snatch the ball when Cristobal Bide made a throw-in in the 17th minute of the game. After having played for 22 minutes, Gonzalo Aimar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mussa FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gonzalo Aimar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gonzo Reyes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodrigo Liberto in the 25th minute of play. In the 27th match minute, Mussa FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by 方钢建 to maneuver through the defense. If Saverio Sotil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hilario Jaizki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ermegildo Salvator having to interfere. Saverio Sotil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Ermegildo Salvator tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 42 minutes into the match, Racing Club's goalkeeper Ermegildo Salvator had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Palben. Saverio Sotil recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 45 minutes into the match, Gonzalo Aimar notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Racing Club's Ermegildo Salvator. Ermegildo Salvator was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Rodrigo Liberto made the kick off in the second half. Ermegildo Salvator made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gonzalo Aimar in the 59th minute of play. Candido Quintana charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Candido Quintana the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 63rd minute, Candido Quintana hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Honorio Dubardo shot from long distance in the 69th minute, but Gonzo Reyes was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. Gonzalo Aimar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Ermegildo Salvator tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 79th minute Rodrigo Liberto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gonzo Reyes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hilario Jaizki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ermegildo Salvator having to interfere. Mussa FC's Gonzo Reyes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodrigo Liberto in the 88th minute of play. Saverio Sotil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ermegildo Salvator showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hilario Jaizki in the 92nd minute of the match. Gonzalo Aimar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Ermegildo Salvator tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Mussa FC had played much better football throughout.
