After a rather tough play, Riachuelo's Leonides Quintana got a free kick in the 58th minute. Riachuelo's Andres Illart played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Artemio Beremundo in the 63rd minute of play. Riachuelo's Andres Illart proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Riachuelo from getting a goal against them. 67 minutes into the match, Riachuelo's goal looked a bit too open when Artemio Beremundo came free, but Andres Illart reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
