Florencio Gaufred had in the 5thth minute some difficulties stopping Braulio Modestio's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Andres Cilio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Derek Marsden in the 15th minute of play. In the 18th match minute, El yeso de Van de Kerkhof was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cecilio Galoer to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Severo Ugutz got free with Florencio Gaufred in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 35 minutes, Severo Ugutz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Claypole and the El yeso de Van de Kerkhof players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Claypole getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Severo Ugutz hit a great ball. After having played for 38 minutes, Anibal Pudes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Claypole's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anibal Pudes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Andres Cilio came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by El yeso de Van de Kerkhof's Derek Marsden. But to his dismay, Derek Marsden quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. With a little luck, El yeso de Van de Kerkhof's Florencio Gaufred got control of the ball when Edgardo Cordero tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Claypole players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. El yeso de Van de Kerkhof were winning 0-1.

Braulio Modestio hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Cecilio Galoer charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cecilio Galoer the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 56th minute, Cecilio Galoer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 60th minute, Fernan Ascencio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Florencio Gaufred took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Severo Ugutz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severo Ugutz in the 64th minute of play forced El yeso de Van de Kerkhof's goalkeeper Florencio Gaufred to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an all-out effort, El yeso de Van de Kerkhof's Andres Cilio threw himself towards the right post 67 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Cecilio Galoer, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When the match had gone on for 70 minutes, Derek Marsden took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Andres Cilio to make any attempt to save it. Claypole's Andres Cilio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Derek Marsden in the 75th minute of play. Florencio Gaufred came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Claypole's Edgardo Cordero. But to his dismay, Edgardo Cordero quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. After a defensive mix-up in Claypole's zone, Derek Marsden stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Andres Cilio came out of the goal and Derek Marsden tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Derek Marsden kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Andres Cilio. That made the score 1-3 in the 88 minute of play. A collision led to Claypole getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Godofredo Dolfos hit a great ball. El yeso de Van de Kerkhof's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
