The Piñalitos AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mauricio Orlandus should have stopped the shot. In the 31st minute Derek Marsden shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mauricio Orlandus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Guillermo Tano during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Piñalitos AFC's Guillermo Tano got a free kick in the 31st minute. Derek Marsden took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mauricio Orlandus. Mauricio Orlandus dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Cecilio Galoer hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. El yeso de Van de Kerkhof's Florencio Gaufred played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by William Örn in the 40th minute of play. The Piñalitos AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. El yeso de Van de Kerkhof were winning 0-3.

The wind increased when Fabian Czerniejewski made the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, William Örn had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Florencio Gaufred. El yeso de Van de Kerkhof's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that William Örn was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. A collision led to Piñalitos AFC getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Marcelino Satordi hit a great ball. In the 66th minute Fabian Czerniejewski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Florencio Gaufred saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Derek Marsden in the 68th minute of play forced Piñalitos AFC's goalkeeper Mauricio Orlandus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 71 minutes into the game, Piñalitos AFC's William Örn nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Florencio Gaufred made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. In the 76th match minute, El yeso de Van de Kerkhof was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Romulo Felipillo to maneuver through the defense. In the 81st minute, El yeso de Van de Kerkhof's Efrain Lauaxeta dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-4. Florencio Gaufred showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabian Czerniejewski, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute.
