After 3 played minutes, Madryn FC's Marcelino Lizer shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Tomas Endira came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Madryn FC reached it. If Rene Raphael had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Ancón booed when Madryn FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcelino Lizer didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Rene Raphael came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Ancón fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rene Raphael couldn't finish the play. When Agustin Mino in the 16th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Tomas Endira kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 1-1 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. Evelio Asier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Severo Birila, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Madryn FC's Evelio Asier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Severo Birila in the 22nd minute of play. In the 24th minute Severo Birila shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evelio Asier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rene Raphael sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Isaac Estebano hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Agustin Mino to make the kick off. Tomas Endira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agustin Mino in the 52nd minute of the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 64th minute of the game. One of Ancón:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Madryn FC:s goal. Maximino Iruinea walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. After some careless play in the Ancón defense, Damian Fidele kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tomas Endira. The Ancón fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tomas Endira should have stopped the shot. Severo Birila received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Evelio Asier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 74th minute, Severiano Milian hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind Madryn FC's goalkeeper Evelio Asier, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Agustin Mino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Tomas Endira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 85 minutes of play, Madryn FC's Damian Fidele made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tomas Endira was left in no man's land by his defense there! Tomas Endira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agustin Mino in the 94th minute of play. Agustin Mino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Tomas Endira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Madryn FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
