When the match clock showed 5 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Anacleto Asteri sped through Olaen's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Adan Charro. Simon Cilio took the ball and in the 9 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Anibal Inko. Anibal Inko dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 14th minute, Aquilino Pacifico left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The VITESSE fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. In the 17th minute, Haroldo Milio fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Anibal Inko, passed just outside the right post. Christian Javiar hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Haroldo Milio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adan Charro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Anacleto Asteri's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. Casimiro Atarrabi's late challenge caught a VITESSE's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Casimiro Atarrabi helped the player get up and apologised. Adan Charro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anacleto Asteri in the 29th minute of play. Aquilino Pacifico sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Olaen's Adan Charro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anacleto Asteri in the 35th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Hermengildo Bartoli managed to get in a good position for a shot. VITESSE's supporters rose to their feet, but Hermengildo Bartoli was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adan Charro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 42 minutes into the game, VITESSE's Anacleto Asteri nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Adan Charro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Hermengildo Bartoli blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Adan Charro having to make a save. Adan Charro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Anacleto Asteri's shot from short distance in the 47th minute. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Hermengildo Bartoli received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Adan Charro came out and tried to block the shot, but Hermengildo Bartoli slotted it home off the left post making it 1-4 in the 52nd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Simon Cilio during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of VITESSE booed when Olaen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Simon Cilio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Adan Charro was a little too slow when Hermengildo Bartoli got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 58th minute. The score was now 1-5. In the 71st minute, Anacleto Asteri left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The VITESSE fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-7. Simon Cilio scored 2-7 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Anibal Inko, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 87th minute, Hermengildo Bartoli got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Adan Charro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hermengildo Bartoli in the 90th minute of play. A collision led to VITESSE getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Adan Charro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the final whistle sounded VITESSE left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Olaen.
