The audience thought a goal was coming when Anacleto Asteri got free with Omar Lia in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice moves Anacleto Asteri could shoot a difficult shot in the 42nd minute, which Omar Lia however easily saved by the left post. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

In the 55th minute Aquilino Pacifico shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Omar Lia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hermengildo Bartoli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. VITESSE had played much better football throughout.
