The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 14 played minutes, Cotita FC's Osvaldo Calvet shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Marcelino Blasi came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Cotita FC reached it. 17 minutes into the match, Cotita FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rafael Erroman came free, but Camilo Pagomari reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Huergo's Basilio Gauargi got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 46th minute, Rafael Erroman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Camilo Pagomari was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. After the first half Huergo were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Rafael Erroman made the kick off in the second half. Cirilo Azeari charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cirilo Azeari the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 56th minute, Rafael Erroman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Paulo Garci charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Paulo Garci the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Paulo Garci kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Cotita FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Huergo the free kick. After 78 played minutes Cotita FC got a freekick which was hit by Fabian Astigar. In the 79th minute, Jeremias Giraldo sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Cotita FC's Camilo Pagomari didn't even have to move. Rafael Erroman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Camilo Pagomari having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafael Erroman in the 83rd minute of play forced Cotita FC's goalkeeper Camilo Pagomari to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Basilio Gauargi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Cotita FC defense, Basilio Gauargi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Camilo Pagomari. The Cotita FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Camilo Pagomari should have stopped the shot. If Rafael Erroman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Basilio Gauargi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Camilo Pagomari having to interfere. Marcelino Blasi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aristides Bartolome, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. In the 97thth minute of the game Aristides Bartolome who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Huergo's Marcelino Blasi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Huergo's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
