In the 13th minute, one of Madryn FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Madryn FC. In the 14th minute there was a penalty for Huergo. Jeremias Giraldo stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Evelio Asier. 0-1. Evelio Asier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Basilio Gauargi in the 17th minute of play. The supporters of Madryn FC booed when Huergo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lisandro Quinto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Evelio Asier stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Basilio Gauargi's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. The Madryn FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Huergo were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rafael Erroman made a kick off. The audience was convinced that Rafael Erroman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Evelio Asier was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. In the 96th minute, Basilio Gauargi fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Evelio Asier, passed just outside the right post. The Huergo supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Huergo would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
