But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nestor Chago couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Guido Napier in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Raimundo Gitano saved NOT AFRAID from getting behind. 9 minutes into the game, Leon Otsando was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Villa del Parque Necochea's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave NOT AFRAID the free kick. In the 9th minute, Leon Otsando hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With an all-out effort, NOT AFRAID's Efrain Patrido threw himself towards the right post 10 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Cayetano Tome, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When Villa del Parque Necochea's Guido Napier in the 12th minute got a chance for a shot 12th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Gaston Henry could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Efrain Patrido made a huge save. Nestor Chago sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gaston Henry got free with Efrain Patrido in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Arnoldo Blasco's late challenge caught a NOT AFRAID's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arnoldo Blasco helped the player get up and apologised. In the 33rd minute, Eustaquio Gartzi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Villa del Parque Necochea booed when NOT AFRAID was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marciano Dimo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Raimundo Gitano came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Villa del Parque Necochea's Guido Napier. But to his dismay, Guido Napier quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guido Napier in the 46th minute of play forced NOT AFRAID's goalkeeper Raimundo Gitano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. NOT AFRAID's Raimundo Gitano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aureliano Locaio in the 47th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

55 minutes into the game, Hector Hanot was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. With a little luck, NOT AFRAID's Raimundo Gitano got control of the ball when Guido Napier tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind NOT AFRAID's goalkeeper Raimundo Gitano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. NOT AFRAID's Gaston Henry got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Guido Napier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Raimundo Gitano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match was over Villa del Parque Necochea could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than NOT AFRAID throughout the match.
