Felipe Theodore fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Modesto Idacio having to interfere. Eleuterio Txatxu kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. 14 minutes into the match, Animalandia's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Guillem came free, but Modesto Idacio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Eleuterio Txatxu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Animalandia's Modesto Idacio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Guillem in the 23rd minute of play. Luis Guillem fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Modesto Idacio having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Animalandia's Mario Quico got a free kick in the 28th minute. Alejo Ebardo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Samuel Omero in the 33rd minute of the match. After 37 played minutes Animalandia got a freekick which was hit by Denis Bernard. After having played for 39 minutes, Felipe Theodore managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Metán's supporters crossed their fingers, but Felipe Theodore was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luis Guillem struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Modesto Idacio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Metán. If Samuel Omero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Animalandia players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Metán were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luis Guillem made a kick off. Eleuterio Txatxu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Alejo Ebardo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 59th minute, Luis Guillem hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Eleuterio Txatxu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alejo Ebardo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ildefonso Batista in the 68th minute of play. In the 73rd match minute, Metán was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silvano Cucao to maneuver through the defense. In the 78th minute, Felipe Theodore reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Modesto Idacio. The goal made the score 0-2. After 83 played minutes Metán got a freekick which was hit by Adan Steven. Alejo Ebardo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eleuterio Txatxu, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. When Nemesio Chus fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Metán's protests and gave Nemesio Chus a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Animalandia booed when Metán was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nemesio Chus didn't get a good kick on the ball. Animalandia's Samuel Omero got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Felipe Theodore fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Modesto Idacio having to interfere. The Metán players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
