After 2 played minutes Animalandia got a freekick which was hit by Denis Bernard. Modesto Idacio made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Gonzalo Romo sent off a good shot on target. Gonzalo Romo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Modesto Idacio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the C A Boca Juniors defense, Samuel Omero kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Elpidio Senen. The C A Boca Juniors fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Elpidio Senen should have stopped the shot. In the 15th match minute, C A Boca Juniors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maximo Valentine to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Samuel Omero in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Elpidio Senen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The crowd rose to their feet as Joel Selmo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Modesto Idacio. That made the score 1-1 in the 19 minute of play. In the 22nd minute, Maximo Valentine hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Elpidio Senen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eleuterio Txatxu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 27 minutes, Joel Selmo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. C A Boca Juniors's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joel Selmo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Denis Bernard hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. When Joel Selmo came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the C A Boca Juniors fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joel Selmo couldn't finish the play. Animalandia's Modesto Idacio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Selmo in the 36th minute of play. Eleuterio Txatxu struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Elpidio Senen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Animalandia. Elpidio Senen came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by Animalandia's Samuel Omero. But to his dismay, Samuel Omero quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2.

In the 52nd minute Samuel Omero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elpidio Senen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hilario Senio's late challenge caught a Animalandia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hilario Senio helped the player get up and apologised. Elpidio Senen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ildefonso Batista in the 60th minute. Gonzalo Romo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gonzalo Romo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Modesto Idacio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ildefonso Batista during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ildefonso Batista kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match.
