Spectators: 7251 (Terracing: 5474, Seating: 1677, VIP seats: 100) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Flavio Pinto got the match started through his kick off. Iker Tartalo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alfonso Manuelo in the 4th minute. In the 7th minute, Ignacio Abarca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Alfonso Manuelo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Los Paqueros's supporters rose to their feet, but Alfonso Manuelo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Iker Tartalo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Los Paqueros booed when Cuchilla was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aquilino Rexino didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 18th minute Flavio Pinto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iker Tartalo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alfonso Manuelo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iker Tartalo having to interfere. Iker Tartalo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alfonso Manuelo in the 22nd minute. Lorenzo Niva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Placido Jon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cuchilla were awarded a corner in the 26th minute after Los Paqueros's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Geronimo Macias took the corner. After taking down the ball on Cuchilla's corner Geronimo Macias fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Lorenzo Niva quite easily take care of the ball. A collision led to Los Paqueros getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Marcos Resto hit a great ball. Ernesto Stephen hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. If Alfonso Manuelo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Alfonso Manuelo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Iker Tartalo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Los Paqueros booed when Cuchilla was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aquilino Rexino didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 48th minute, Flavio Pinto fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Iker Tartalo, passed just outside the right post. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 53rd match minute, Los Paqueros was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dalmacio Sabino to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot by Geronimo Macias from long distance, 54 minutes into the match, got Lorenzo Niva's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Cuchilla's Iker Tartalo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfonso Manuelo in the 57th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Christian Farias during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Cuchilla getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Christian Farias hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Alfonso Manuelo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Los Paqueros's supporters rose to their feet, but Alfonso Manuelo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alfonso Manuelo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Alfonso Manuelo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 68th minute Placido Jon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lorenzo Niva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Cuchilla's zone, Flavio Pinto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Iker Tartalo came out of the goal and Flavio Pinto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Los Paqueros's Flavio Pinto got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Iker Tartalo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Flavio Pinto in the 78th minute of play. Alfonso Manuelo might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Iker Tartalo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alfonso Manuelo ran back to his position shaking his head. After 81 played minutes Cuchilla got a freekick which was hit by Bonifacio Silviano. After having played for 95 minutes, Alfonso Manuelo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Los Paqueros's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfonso Manuelo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Los Paqueros lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
