After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Mauro Eusko managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wilstermann's supporters rose to their feet, but Mauro Eusko was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carlos Firmin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Gonzalo Felipillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 33rd minute Gonzalo Felipillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Firmin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dario Eron kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. A collision led to Wilstermann getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Maximiliano Ikatz hit a great ball. Wilstermann's defense didn't have a chance, in the 41st minute, when Severo Matei scored to the left of an out of position Evelio Solustiano, making the score, 1-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Severo Matei in the 48th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Evelio Solustiano saved Wilstermann from getting behind. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

With 94 minutes on the clock, Gabriel Benitez commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 94th minute, one of Wilstermann:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Wilstermann.
