Astor Felipo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucas Iban, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Astor Felipo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silvano Isauro in the 8th minute of play. 11 minutes into the match, La banda del Matadero's Igor Gai sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Astor Felipo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Rogelio Eliazar might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Astor Felipo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. When the match had gone on for 14 minutes, Antonio Guillelmo put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Astor Felipo. 25 minutes into the match, Antonio Guillelmo notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Canalejas AFC's Astor Felipo. Astor Felipo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, La banda del Matadero's Eusebio Hurko got a free kick in the 28th minute. Igor Gai hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. The supporters of La banda del Matadero booed when Canalejas AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enzo Basualdo didn't get a good kick on the ball. 35 minutes into the match, La banda del Matadero's Lucas Iban sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Astor Felipo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After 56 played minutes Canalejas AFC got a freekick which was hit by Arnaldo Domeka. Ubaldo Ramirez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodolfo Lamberto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Antonio Guillelmo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Astor Felipo having to interfere. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 64th minute of the game. One of Canalejas AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of La banda del Matadero:s goal. Igor Gai walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Igor Gai fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Astor Felipo having to interfere. In the 68th minute, Igor Gai got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. La banda del Matadero's Aaron Senin was substituted for Silvano Isauro. Rogelio Eliazar scored 0-5 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Astor Felipo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 79 minutes, Raimundo Raymond managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. La banda del Matadero's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raimundo Raymond was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Raimundo Raymond fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored La banda del Matadero's protests and gave Raimundo Raymond a yellow card for diving instead. In the 86th minute, Raimundo Raymond hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 89th minute, Arnaldo Domeka made a precise shot to the right of Ubaldo Ramirez. La banda del Matadero's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-5. Roque Liberto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Astor Felipo having to make a save.
