In the 10th match minute, Empedrado was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silvestre Raitin to maneuver through the defense. Angelo Gorri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Domingo Salvator, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Empedrado's zone, Nemesio Goi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Venancio Txema came out of the goal and Nemesio Goi tried to chip the ball over his head. If Cornelio Laffitte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Florencio Papo couldn't finish the play. The wind increased when Cornelio Laffitte made the kick off in the second half. Sanagasta's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
