After a defensive mix-up in Empedrado's zone, Isidro Mosen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Venancio Txema came out of the goal and Isidro Mosen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 10th minute Isidro Mosen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Venancio Txema saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Isidro Mosen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Isidro Mosen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Venancio Txema having to interfere. In the 38th match minute, Racing Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Santiago Marquez to maneuver through the defense. When Martin Dimas got the opportunity to take care of a free kick it resulted in a really dangerous shot that almost went in the goal. Instead the ball went too high, a missed opportunity for Empedrado. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Domingo Salvator made a kick off. 55 minutes had been played when some careless play by Empedrado's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tiburcio Rios was slow to take the kick. During this time Racing Club's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Tiburcio Rios got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Venancio Txema quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Isidro Mosen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Venancio Txema tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Florencio Papo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Isidro Mosen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Racing Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Isidro Mosen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Venancio Txema breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Isidoro Tajo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Empedrado's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Isidoro Tajo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Domingo Salvator did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-1 to the left of a surprised Simon Maurino 93 minutes into the match. The Empedrado players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Racing Club from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
