The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, Los Defes de Sarandí's goal looked a bit too open when Danilo Koldobika came free, but Clemente Rocendo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Jonathan Loiola could shoot a difficult shot in the 16th minute, which Haroldo Mikelats however easily saved by the left post. Segundo Mambru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clemente Rocendo having to interfere. 25 minutes into the match, Los Defes de Sarandí's goal looked a bit too open when Danilo Koldobika came free, but Clemente Rocendo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Haroldo Mikelats made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hilario Guerau in the 27th minute of play. After a rather tough play, The Catalyst FC's Ramon Sanchez got a free kick in the 27th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Los Defes de Sarandí's zone, Segundo Mambru stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Clemente Rocendo came out of the goal and Segundo Mambru tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Clemente Rocendo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Danilo Koldobika, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hilario Guerau was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 37th minute. Los Defes de Sarandí's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Hilario Guerau managed to get in a good position for a shot. Los Defes de Sarandí's supporters rose to their feet, but Hilario Guerau was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Haroldo Mikelats breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 40 minutes into the match, The Catalyst FC's goalkeeper Haroldo Mikelats had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jonathan Loiola. Leonides Mincho kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. After 48 minutes of play, Los Defes de Sarandí's Jonathan Loiola made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Haroldo Mikelats was left in no man's land by his defense there! Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

After 63 played minutes Los Defes de Sarandí got a freekick which was hit by Andres Laffitte. Joaquin Ler was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 64th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 65th match minute, Los Defes de Sarandí was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andres Laffitte to maneuver through the defense. In the 86th minute Hilario Guerau shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Haroldo Mikelats saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Catalyst FC's Haroldo Mikelats played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hilario Guerau in the 92nd minute of play. The Catalyst FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
