In the 15th minute, Jonathan Loiola made a precise shot to the right of Lázaro Udalaitz. AcuñA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in AcuñA's zone, Hilario Guerau stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lázaro Udalaitz came out of the goal and Hilario Guerau tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With his leg Clemente Rocendo managed to avoid a goal in the 21stth minute, when AcuñA's Sixto Etxekopar fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Domingo Haimar hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. A collision led to Los Defes de Sarandí getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Paolo Urdaspal hit a great ball. The supporters of AcuñA booed when Los Defes de Sarandí was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernesto Claude didn't get a good kick on the ball. Andres Laffitte recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lázaro Udalaitz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonathan Loiola, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sixto Etxekopar in the 40thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Clemente Rocendo, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Andres Laffitte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sixto Etxekopar to strike the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sixto Etxekopar in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Clemente Rocendo saved Los Defes de Sarandí from getting behind. If Aquiles Lartaun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sixto Etxekopar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clemente Rocendo having to interfere. When Sixto Etxekopar, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 61 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Clemente Rocendo was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. After 63 minutes of play, AcuñA's Sixto Etxekopar made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Clemente Rocendo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Fulgencio Dantae hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Los Defes de Sarandí's Clemente Rocendo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sixto Etxekopar in the 70th minute of play. With 84 minutes on the clock, Ernesto Claude commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee gave AcuñA a penalty, 85 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Teodoro Rosalio, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Los Defes de Sarandí's Clemente Rocendo. 3-1. Jonathan Loiolas short, quick shot in the 89thth minute got Lázaro Udalaitz to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Andres Laffitte hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sixto Etxekopar in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Clemente Rocendo saved Los Defes de Sarandí from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sixto Etxekopar in the 96th minute of play forced Los Defes de Sarandí's goalkeeper Clemente Rocendo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonathan Loiola's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lázaro Udalaitz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 98th minute of play.
