Dario Ibar had several of the Paltoroa's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 22 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Maximo Arano as he didn't even see the shot coming. Paltoroa's Maximo Arano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Paltoroa from getting a goal against them. In the 40th minute Dario Ibar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maximo Arano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 41st match minute, Paltoroa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fausto Frantzes to maneuver through the defense. Ferrocarril Oeste's German Munio shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 42nd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Maximo Arano but with some difficulty. With a little luck, Paltoroa's Maximo Arano got control of the ball when Ignacio Araoz tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Ferrocarril Oeste's Dario Ibar got a free kick in the 46th minute. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ignacio Araoz was the one to do the kick off. Paltoroa's Maximo Arano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dario Ibar in the 53rd minute of play. Maximo Arano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dario Ibar in the 54th minute of play. Fausto Frantzes charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fausto Frantzes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Ferrocarril Oeste booed when Paltoroa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fausto Frantzes didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 76th minute, Felipe Sabino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 79th play minutes Ignacio Araoz shot 3-0, a short shot which went by Maximo Arano and just under the crossbar into goal. Dario Ibar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dario Ibar in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Maximo Arano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 91 minutes into the match, Ignacio Araoz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Maximo Arano. Paltoroa's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ignacio Araoz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Ferrocarril Oeste walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
