Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Norberto Suarez started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Covunco's defense didn't have a chance, in the 5th minute, when Ignacio Araoz scored to the left of an out of position Horacio Martinez, making the score, 1-0. Ferrocarril Oeste's Anselmo Fidencio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Norberto Suarez in the 10th minute of play. 13 minutes into the match, Covunco's goal looked a bit too open when Dario Ibar came free, but Horacio Martinez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 16 minutes of play, Covunco's Norberto Suarez made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Anselmo Fidencio was left in no man's land by his defense there! Horacio Martinez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dario Ibar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Anselmo Nuñez hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Covunco's Antonio Jesco got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Ignacio Araoz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Horacio Martinez was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Dario Ibar showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 42 minute of play. In the 47th minute of the match, Ignacio Araoz got a very nice opportunity to score, but Horacio Martinez was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

In the 53rd minute of the match Ferrocarril Oeste got a corner. Covunco's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ladislao Benet ran over to the corner to take the kick. Ferrocarril Oeste's Ladislao Benet was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Horacio Martinez in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Horacio Martinez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ignacio Araoz in the 60th minute of the match. Norberto Suarez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 74 minutes into the game, Ferrocarril Oeste's Dario Ibar nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Horacio Martinez made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. After 77 played minutes Ferrocarril Oeste got a freekick which was hit by Anselmo Nuñez. Horacio Martinez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dario Ibar, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. When Dario Ibar came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Ferrocarril Oeste fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dario Ibar couldn't finish the play. Horacio Martinez came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by Ferrocarril Oeste's Dario Ibar. But to his dismay, Dario Ibar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-1. Anselmo Fidencio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Norberto Suarez in the 95th minute of the match. Ferrocarril Oeste's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
