Modesto Gartxot fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amadeo Quintin having to interfere. In the 33rd minute of the match Silvestre Uhin sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Amadeo Quintin skillfully saved the ball. When the match had gone on for 34 minutes, Modesto Gartxot put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Amadeo Quintin. Rosario Central's Albino Tiadoro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Laureano Eutropio in the 46th minute of play. The El Cultural players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Rosario Central were winning 0-1.

Bonifacio Polentzi's late challenge caught a Rosario Central's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bonifacio Polentzi helped the player get up and apologised. Laureano Eutropio struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Albino Tiadoro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for El Cultural. An unexpectedly hard shot by Faustino Valerio in the 72nd minute of play forced Rosario Central's goalkeeper Albino Tiadoro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
