Pablo Lucila fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maximino Rico having to interfere. In the 6th minute, Matias Palben hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Teodoro Jakobe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 10thth minute of the game Teodoro Jakobe who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Esther AFC's Maximino Rico was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Pablo Lucila could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Maximino Rico made a huge save. 15 minutes into the match, Quinquela Martín's goal looked a bit too open when Adan Vargas came free, but Daniel Eufemio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniel Eufemio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evaristo Rexino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel Eufemio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicolas Cidro in the 29th minute of play. Teodoro Jakobe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Maximino Rico tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Esther AFC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Haroldo Oinaz during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Astor Orlondon helped the player get up and apologised. 65 minutes into the game, one of Quinquela Martín:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Adan Vargass short, quick shot in the 72ndth minute got Daniel Eufemio to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Daniel Eufemio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicolas Cidro in the 74th minute of the match. Gavino Velasco's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Maximino Rico read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. Esther AFC's Maximino Rico played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pablo Lucila in the 85th minute of play. Pablo Lucila sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Quinquela Martín's Daniel Eufemio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 97th minute of the match, managed to save Quinquela Martín from getting a goal against them. The Quinquela Martín supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Esther AFC's performance. The match ended with a win for Esther AFC.
