Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Roque Hartz in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cleto Rafel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Roque Hartz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 39 minutes in the game, Roque Hartz fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Cleto Rafel having to interfere. In the 47th minute Roque Hartz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cleto Rafel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Martin Amato to make the kick off.
