But to his dismay, Anselmo Manni quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Anselmo Manni in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mauricio Martxelin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 19 minutes into the match, Bariloche's goal looked a bit too open when Ricardo Mendebal came free, but Mauricio Martxelin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gaudencio Haritzeder got free with Anier Sugoi in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the match clock showed 54 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Anselmo Manni sped through Bariloche's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Mauricio Martxelin. The audience was convinced that Anselmo Manni's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mauricio Martxelin was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. 62 minutes into the match, Melquiades Ubelteso notched a goal, 1-4, to the right of Ayacucho's Anier Sugoi. The Ayacucho fans' excitement grew in the 71st match minute when Ayacucho's Anselmo Manni looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-5 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Mauricio Martxelin was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ricardo Mendebal showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-6 in the 76 minute of play. Fermin Ubelteso took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 80th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Mauricio Martxelin. Bariloche's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 82nd minute of the match Florencio Urko shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mauricio Martxelin showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Anselmo Manni received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Mauricio Martxelin came out and tried to block the shot, but Anselmo Manni slotted it home off the left post making it 1-7 in the 84th minute. 90 minutes into the match Anselmo Manni climbed in front of goal and pressed up 1-8 in the right cross behind a totally surprised Mauricio Martxelin. An unexpectedly hard shot by Melquiades Ubelteso in the 96th minute of play forced Ayacucho's goalkeeper Anier Sugoi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Ayacucho had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
