The supporters of JAMAICA NP booed when El Fortín de Liniers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tadeo Matei didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cornelio Umbruso in the 12th minute of play forced El Fortín de Liniers's goalkeeper Primitivo Frutos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 16 minutes into the match, JAMAICA NP's Cornelio Umbruso sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Primitivo Frutos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cornelio Umbruso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Primitivo Frutos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Godfredo Min sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the JAMAICA NP defense, Teodosio Haritz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Victorino Iaki. The JAMAICA NP fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Victorino Iaki should have stopped the shot. In the 35th minute Godfredo Min shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Primitivo Frutos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Igor Caton to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Igor Caton managed to get in a good position for a shot. El Fortín de Liniers's supporters rose to their feet, but Igor Caton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Victorino Iaki breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Victorino Iaki came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by El Fortín de Liniers's Teodosio Haritz. But to his dismay, Teodosio Haritz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Victorino Iaki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Igor Caton in the 56th minute of the match. Primitivo Frutos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Godfredo Min in the 59th minute. Godfredo Min received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Primitivo Frutos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 69th minute, Cornelio Umbruso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. El Fortín de Liniers's Primitivo Frutos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cornelio Umbruso in the 75th minute of play. Reynaldo Ireno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Igor Caton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victorino Iaki having to interfere. After a rather tough play, JAMAICA NP's Miguel Vasco got a free kick in the 91st minute. Teodosio Haritz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 96 minutes into the game, Reynaldo Ireno was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. JAMAICA NP's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave El Fortín de Liniers the free kick. In the 96th minute, Reynaldo Ireno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
