When Esteban Tipi fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tacoyoj FC's protests and gave Esteban Tipi a yellow card for diving instead. Esteban Tipi kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. In the 12th match minute, Tacoyoj FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Melquiades Che to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adan Aznar in the 18th minute of play forced Tacoyoj FC's goalkeeper Delmiro Sesuldo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Arbolito FC fans' excitement grew in the 20th match minute when Arbolito FC's Adan Aznar looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. After the first half Arbolito FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nemesio Eliu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Adan Aznar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Delmiro Sesuldo having to interfere. Nemesio Eliu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 63 played minutes Tacoyoj FC got a freekick which was hit by Rolando Elixio. 73 minutes into the match, Tacoyoj FC's Nemesio Eliu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Teofilo Emmanuel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Arbolito FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adan Aznar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tacoyoj FC's goalkeeper Delmiro Sesuldo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Arbolito FC's Adan Aznar got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Tacoyoj FC's Melquiades Che got a free kick in the 77th minute. Nemesio Eliu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teofilo Emmanuel having to interfere. If Adan Aznar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 84th minute, Andres Maule fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The Tacoyoj FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Arbolito FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
