In the 17th minute, Cipriano Sayvion got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cipriano Sayvion in the 18thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Cayetano Paz, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Pastor Guifre received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Joel Afonso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. C. A. Academia's Cayetano Paz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ubaldo Joanes in the 28th minute of play. In the 30thth minute of the game Ubaldo Joanes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but C. A. Academia's Cayetano Paz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Alberto Madaleno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joel Afonso having to interfere. Alberto Madaleno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Joel Afonso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joel Afonso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Madaleno in the 45th minute of play. Joel Afonso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Madaleno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Alberto Madaleno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joel Afonso having to interfere. Joel Afonso was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Pastor Guifre showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 53 minute of play. After having played for 57 minutes, Alberto Madaleno managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. C. A. Academia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alberto Madaleno was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the Mussi defense, Pastor Guifre kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joel Afonso. The Mussi fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joel Afonso should have stopped the shot. Feliciano Oliverios took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 64th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Cayetano Paz. C. A. Academia's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Mussi's Joel Afonso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Mussi from getting a goal against them. Cayetano Paz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ubaldo Joanes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 71st match minute, Mussi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anier Perez to maneuver through the defense. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joel Afonso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Alberto Madaleno's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joel Afonso was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. In the 93rd match minute, Mussi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guillermo Cucao to maneuver through the defense.
