Cayetano Paz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silvio Lamberto in the 4th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Santos Playo managed to get in a good position for a shot. UP Data FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Santos Playo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cayetano Paz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 9th minute, Silvio Lamberto fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Cayetano Paz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Santos Playo in the 10th minute. In the 12th minute, Pastor Guifre left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The C. A. Academia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Alberto Madaleno struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Felix Quinteros didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for C. A. Academia. Alberto Madaleno recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 23 minutes into the game, Braulio Rosario was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. UP Data FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave C. A. Academia the free kick. In the 23rd minute, Braulio Rosario hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Felix Quinteros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pastor Guifre, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Santos Playo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Cayetano Paz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 30th minute, Silvio Lamberto fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Adan Paz charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Adan Paz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Santos Playo got free with Cayetano Paz in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Santos Playo during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in UP Data FC's zone, Pastor Guifre stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Felix Quinteros came out of the goal and Pastor Guifre tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 47th match minute, UP Data FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silvano Diegotxe to maneuver through the defense.

The wind increased when Alberto Madaleno made the kick off in the second half. Saverio Tino hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. After 57 played minutes, UP Data FC's Aquiles Koldo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Cayetano Paz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in UP Data FC reached it. In the 58thth minute of the game Silvio Lamberto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but C. A. Academia's Cayetano Paz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of UP Data FC booed when C. A. Academia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Severiano Fertus didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 64th minute, one of C. A. Academia:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for C. A. Academia. After some careless play in the C. A. Academia defense, Aquiles Koldo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cayetano Paz. The C. A. Academia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cayetano Paz should have stopped the shot. After 68 played minutes UP Data FC got a freekick which was hit by Teodosio Neto. Cayetano Paz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Aureo in the 73rd minute of the match. Santos Playo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cayetano Paz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Santos Playo's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. Silvio Lamberto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cayetano Paz having to interfere. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alberto Madaleno couldn't finish the play. 97 minutes into the game, Silvano Diegotxe was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player.
