Barrialito NC's Fulgencio Birila played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Delmiro Firmo in the 17th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, Antuco's Eugenio Eguzki sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fulgencio Birila narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Eugenio Eguzki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Froilan Domeka fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donato Bernat having to interfere. The Antuco fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Antuco's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eugenio Eguzki was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 76th match minute, Antuco was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Xabel to maneuver through the defense. Barrialito NC's Nereo Gamus got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Eugenio Eguzki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Fulgencio Birila made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Evelio Maldonado sent off a good shot on target. Delmiro Firmo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 87thth minute tested the skills of Fulgencio Birila when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Delmiro Firmo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fulgencio Birila having to make a save. If Evelio Maldonado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Barrialito NC's zone, Eugenio Eguzki stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fulgencio Birila came out of the goal and Eugenio Eguzki tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Antuco's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
