Cayetano Escobar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Mero having to interfere. Blas Aguirre hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. 11 minutes in the game, Timoteo Raebert fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Francisco Gaskon having to interfere. Luis Ledesma sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Celso Cuarto scored 0-1 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jorge Mero, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jorge Mero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Celso Cuarto in the 45th minute of the match. Skorpions FC's Luis Ledesma got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Skorpions FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. F.C. Guardia Imperial were winning 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cayetano Escobar stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jorge Mero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cayetano Escobar, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. With a little luck, Skorpions FC's Jorge Mero got control of the ball when Celso Cuarto tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Skorpions FC's goalkeeper Jorge Mero, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Celso Cuarto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 80th minute Luis Ledesma shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francisco Gaskon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cayetano Escobar in the 87th minute of play forced Skorpions FC's goalkeeper Jorge Mero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
