The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Benigno Oalo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicolas Frechoso having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pablo Piarres in the 12th minute of play forced Lupulo F.C.'s goalkeeper Mariano Ignatius to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 16th minute, Benigno Oalo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 19 minutes, Gaspar Ongile managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. F.C Hammer's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gaspar Ongile was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 21st minute, Sebastian Bermudez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lupulo F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. When Ramiro Urti fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored F.C Hammer's protests and gave Ramiro Urti a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to F.C Hammer getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Ramiro Urti hit a great ball. Sebastian Bermudez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicolas Frechoso having to interfere. Gaspar Ongile fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mariano Ignatius having to interfere. When Pablo Piarres came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the F.C Hammer fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pablo Piarres couldn't finish the play. Benigno Oalo might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nicolas Frechoso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Benigno Oalo ran back to his position shaking his head. 45 minutes into the match, F.C Hammer's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Jokin came free, but Nicolas Frechoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nicolas Frechoso was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Benigno Oalo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 47 minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pablo Piarres to make the kick off. If Sebastian Bermudez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 67th minute, Benigno Oalo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nicolas Frechoso was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. When Benigno Oalo came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Lupulo F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benigno Oalo couldn't finish the play. Nicolas Frechoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sebastian Bermudez, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Benigno Oalo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicolas Frechoso having to interfere. Lupulo F.C.'s Mariano Ignatius played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gaspar Ongile in the 79th minute of play. 81 minutes into the game, Fulgencio Azeari was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. F.C Hammer's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lupulo F.C. the free kick. In the 82nd minute there was a penalty for Lupulo F.C.. Sebastian Bermudez stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Nicolas Frechoso. 6-0. In the 90th minute, Godfredo Reyes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gaspar Ongile's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mariano Ignatius read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Gaspar Ongile managed to get in a good position for a shot. F.C Hammer's supporters rose to their feet, but Gaspar Ongile was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mariano Ignatius breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 96 played minutes F.C Hammer got a freekick which was hit by Victoriano Arlo. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Lupulo F.C. fully deserved thier win.
