After 14 minutes, Luis Ledesma mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Skorpions FC and the Leeds United players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 14th minute, Luis Ledesma hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Celso Hitz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Mero having to interfere. Romeo Belasko showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Ledesma in the 20th minute of the match. After 23 minutes of play, Leeds United's Eugenio Erramun made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jorge Mero was left in no man's land by his defense there! The nice shot from Celso Hitz in the 26thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Jorge Mero had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Jorge Mero was a little too slow when Edelmiro Egoi got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 30th minute. The score was now 2-0. After 33 minutes of play Leeds United's Edelmiro Egoi was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Skorpions FC booed when Leeds United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edelmiro Egoi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cristo Shepherd took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Romeo Belasko. Romeo Belasko dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. In the 42nd minute, Skorpions FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Celso Hitz fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eugenio Erramun got free with Jorge Mero in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nunez Nafarroa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eleuterio Gabino to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hernan Maule in the 52nd minute of play forced Skorpions FC's goalkeeper Jorge Mero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Leeds United's Romeo Belasko got control of the ball when Timoteo Raebert tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Celso Hitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, David Osorio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Leeds United's supporters rose to their feet, but David Osorio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jorge Mero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jorge Mero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nunez Nafarroa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eugenio Erramun struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Jorge Mero didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Leeds United. Celso Hitz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 64 minutes, Eugenio Erramun put it in 4-1 from a short distance just to the right of Jorge Mero. In the 69th minute, Hector Ramone hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 71 minutes had been played when some careless play by Skorpions FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Eugenio Erramun was slow to take the kick. During this time Leeds United's players had a chance to rest. After 72 minutes of play Skorpions FC's Luis Ledesma was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Luis Ledesma kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Celso Hitz scored 5-1 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jorge Mero, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Leeds United's Celso Hitz in the 83rd minute got a chance for a shot 83rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The referee ignored Skorpions FC's protests and gave Hector Ramone a yellow card for diving instead. After 94 played minutes Skorpions FC got a freekick which was hit by Hector Ramone. Leeds United walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
