The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Roman Lope during the 2nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 3rd match minute, Peñarol de La Mosca AC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roman Lope to maneuver through the defense. Leonardo Txurio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carmelo Ubarna in the 4th minute of the match. Leonardo Txurio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carmelo Ubarna in the 7th minute of play. After some careless play in the Peñarol de La Mosca AC defense, Benjamin Dolcet kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Leonardo Txurio. The Peñarol de La Mosca AC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leonardo Txurio should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Peñarol de La Mosca AC booed when Ayajaso FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vicente Cesaro didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Benjamin Dolcet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leonardo Txurio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vicente Lawrence, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Leonardo Txurio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 37 minutes into the game, Benjamin Dolcet cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lorenzo Gonsalvo to strike the kick off in the second half. Vicente Lawrence sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Froilan Mouricio in the 52nd minute of play forced Ayajaso FC's goalkeeper Silvano Quilino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benjamin Dolcet made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 55thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Leonardo Txurio would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. Vicente Lawrence was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 56th minute. Ayajaso FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The supporters of Peñarol de La Mosca AC booed when Ayajaso FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ramiro Indar didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 61 played minutes Peñarol de La Mosca AC got a freekick which was hit by Dario Sauveur. Vicente Lawrence did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-5 to the left of a surprised Leonardo Txurio 62 minutes into the match. In the 65th minute, Benjamin Dolcet left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ayajaso FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6. Silvano Quilino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Froilan Mouricio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Silvano Quilino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lorenzo Gonsalvo in the 75th minute of the match. 78 minutes into the match, Peñarol de La Mosca AC's goal looked a bit too open when Vicente Lawrence came free, but Leonardo Txurio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vicente Lawrence recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Benjamin Dolcet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ayajaso FC's Vicente Lawrence got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Peñarol de La Mosca AC's zone, Carmelo Ubarna stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leonardo Txurio came out of the goal and Carmelo Ubarna tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vicente Lawrence fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonardo Txurio having to interfere. Ayajaso FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
