Olaen's Erasmo Rexino got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sergio Cisco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abel Brion, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abel Brion in the 32nd minute of play forced Olaen's goalkeeper Sergio Cisco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Abel Brion had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Olaen's zone, Higinio Taurino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sergio Cisco came out of the goal and Higinio Taurino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 40 minutes into the match, Rosario Central's goal looked a bit too open when Bartolo Charro came free, but Haroldo Gaztea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Olaen fans cheered their team off the field, for while Rosario Central had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
