The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Violeta 94's Aureliano Jaen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicanor Ibar in the 13th minute of play. Aureliano Jaen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Lluques in the 20th minute of play. Nicanor Ibar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dario Guipuzkoas short, quick shot in the 28thth minute got Teodosio Quintana to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. La Maquinita FC's Teodosio Quintana proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save La Maquinita FC from getting a goal against them. After 42 played minutes Violeta 94 got a freekick which was hit by Everardo Faro. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The supporters of Violeta 94 booed when La Maquinita FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorge Comas didn't get a good kick on the ball.
