After having played for 3 minutes, Sergio Acarreta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lanus AC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sergio Acarreta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Serafino Laurgain's late challenge caught a Lanus AC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Serafino Laurgain helped the player get up and apologised. Serafino Laurgain hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Oscar Suarez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gaudencio Mendez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 13th match minute, Lanus AC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Americo Ederono to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gaudencio Mendez in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Oscar Suarez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 14 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when La Camaruta's Gaudencio Mendez fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Didier Pironi might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gualterio Heli. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Didier Pironi ran back to his position shaking his head. Didier Pironi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gualterio Heli read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. After 21 minutes, 魏诚森 mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lanus AC and the La Camaruta players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Lanus AC booed when La Camaruta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Damaso Frederico didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sergio Acarreta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Gualterio Heli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sergio Acarreta struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Gualterio Heli didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lanus AC. Lanus AC's Didier Pironi got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gualterio Heli came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by Lanus AC's Sergio Acarreta. But to his dismay, Sergio Acarreta quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Gualterio Heli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Didier Pironi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The supporters of Lanus AC booed when La Camaruta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evelio Liher didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 52 minutes, Sergio Acarreta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lanus AC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sergio Acarreta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 56th minute, Didier Pironi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match clock showed 61 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Gaudencio Mendez sped through Lanus AC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Oscar Suarez. If Sergio Acarreta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Lanus AC's Placido Chabier got a free kick in the 75th minute. Didier Pironi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Didier Pironi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lanus AC's supporters rose to their feet, but Didier Pironi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gualterio Heli breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Sergio Acarreta came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Lanus AC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sergio Acarreta couldn't finish the play. Didier Pironi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lanus AC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
