Gaudencio Mendez blasted a shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Aureliano Jaen having to make a save. Violeta 94's Aureliano Jaen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Violeta 94 from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Violeta 94's zone, Gaudencio Mendez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aureliano Jaen came out of the goal and Gaudencio Mendez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 18 minutes into the game, one of Violeta 94:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 23 minutes into the match, La Camaruta's Gaudencio Mendez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aureliano Jaen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gaudencio Mendez got free with Aureliano Jaen in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gaudencio Mendez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Aureliano Jaen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Everardo Faro during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Camilo Ritchie to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Violeta 94's goalkeeper Aureliano Jaen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gualterio Heli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ulises Evis in the 55th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, La Camaruta's Eloy Abeita got a free kick in the 58th minute. Tiburcio Medero took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 62nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Aureliano Jaen. Violeta 94's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 66 minutes into the match, Dario Guipuzkoa notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of La Camaruta's Gualterio Heli. Gualterio Heli was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Dario Guipuzkoa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Violeta 94's supporters rose to their feet, but Dario Guipuzkoa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gualterio Heli breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 77 minutes into the match, Violeta 94's Dario Guipuzkoa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gualterio Heli narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 81 played minutes, La Camaruta's Baldomero Quilo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Aureliano Jaen came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in La Camaruta reached it. In the 87th minute, Violeta 94's Camilo Ritchie ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gualterio Heli. Gualterio Heli yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. The La Camaruta supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Violeta 94's performance. The match ended with a win for Violeta 94.
