Vinicio Reus was left in no man's land by his defense there! Eugenio Stephen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vinicio Reus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodrigo Marcones in the 9th minute of the match. In the 12th minute Rodrigo Marcones shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vinicio Reus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Club Atletico River Plate's Vinicio Reus got control of the ball when Eugenio Stephen tried to sneak it across the goal line. Erasmo Giro kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Rodrigo Marcones received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Vinicio Reus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vinicio Reus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Berbiz in the 22nd minute of play. Erasmo Giro kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. If Rodrigo Marcones had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Octavio Abel's late challenge caught a Matador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Octavio Abel helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Matador booed when Club Atletico River Plate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Octavio Abel didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 37th minute, Eugenio Stephen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 40 minutes, Rodrigo Marcones made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Club Atletico River Plate's Vinicio Reus tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 47th match minute, Club Atletico River Plate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erasmo Giro to maneuver through the defense. Rodrigo Marcones blasted a shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vinicio Reus having to make a save. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rodrigo Marcones made a kick off. In the 53rd minute, Rodrigo Marcones got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 57thth minute of the game Eugenio Stephen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club Atletico River Plate's Vinicio Reus was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 57 minutes, Eugenio Stephen made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Club Atletico River Plate's Vinicio Reus tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Vinicio Reus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodrigo Marcones in the 66th minute of play. Club Atletico River Plate's Vinicio Reus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eugenio Stephen in the 67th minute of play. Rodrigo Marcones sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rodrigo Marcones's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vinicio Reus read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. Vinicio Reus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodrigo Marcones in the 74th minute of the match. 75 minutes into the match, Eugenio Stephen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vinicio Reus. Club Atletico River Plate's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eugenio Stephen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. In the 86th minute, Club Atletico River Plate's Octavio Abel ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Esteve Mendiko. Esteve Mendiko yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 5-1. Erasmo Giro struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Esteve Mendiko didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Atletico River Plate. Octavio Abel succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 5-2 in the 91st playminute. Eugenio Stephen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vinicio Reus having to interfere.
