Luisito Argoitz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damian Sanduru, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. If Gonzalo Ponce had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 11 played minutes Arrutó AFC got a freekick which was hit by Jonathan Guzman. 12 minutes into the match, Arrutó AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Fabian Oliverios came free, but Luisito Argoitz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 13 minutes into the game, Fulgencio Galeno was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Arrutó AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Defensores los Talas the free kick. Fulgencio Galeno hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. In the 14thth minute of the game Gonzalo Ponce who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Arrutó AFC's Luisito Argoitz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Hipolito Galindo came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Defensores los Talas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hipolito Galindo couldn't finish the play. Luisito Argoitz came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Defensores los Talas's Gonzalo Ponce. But to his dismay, Gonzalo Ponce quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After having played for 31 minutes, Gonzalo Ponce managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Defensores los Talas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gonzalo Ponce was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 33 minutes into the match, Arrutó AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Fabian Oliverios came free, but Luisito Argoitz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Candido Lucila sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Serafin Quinten's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hector Tomi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. 37 minutes into the match, Arrutó AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Gonzalo Ponce came free, but Luisito Argoitz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fabian Oliverios in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luisito Argoitz saved Arrutó AFC from getting behind. The supporters of Arrutó AFC booed when Defensores los Talas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hipolito Galindo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Arrutó AFC's Serafin Quinten in the 42nd minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Hector Tomi was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Defensores los Talas through an amazing save. If Serafin Quinten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fabian Oliverios stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Hector Tomi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Serafin Quinten, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Serafin Quinten in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hector Tomi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Defensores los Talas's zone, Candido Lucila stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hector Tomi came out of the goal and Candido Lucila tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hector Tomi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Candido Lucila in the 67th minute of play. After having played for 69 minutes, Serafin Quinten managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arrutó AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Serafin Quinten was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 75th minute the ball was on its way in behind Arrutó AFC's goalkeeper Luisito Argoitz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 78th match minute, Defensores los Talas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raul Bazil to maneuver through the defense. Hector Tomi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Candido Lucila in the 84th minute of the match. The supporters of Arrutó AFC booed when Defensores los Talas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Damian Sanduru didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 86th minute, Roque Martinez sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Defensores los Talas's Hector Tomi didn't even have to move. In the 97th minute, Gonzalo Ponce ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luisito Argoitz was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Defensores los Talas's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
