The referee ignored VERDANI - ADIÓS AL MZ's protests and gave Edelmiro Fliz a yellow card for diving instead. In the 7th match minute, VERDANI - ADIÓS AL MZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edelmiro Fliz to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atletico River Plate's zone, Honorato Orlondo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vinicio Reus came out of the goal and Honorato Orlondo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Damian Valiente took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vinicio Reus. Vinicio Reus dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Vinicio Reus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Faustino Amaya, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Vinicio Reus didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Faustino Amaya went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. 30 minutes into the match, Club Atletico River Plate's goal looked a bit too open when Damian Valiente came free, but Vinicio Reus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 32 minutes into the game, Honorato Orlondo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Vinicio Reus was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Faustino Amaya in the 37th minute of play forced Club Atletico River Plate's goalkeeper Vinicio Reus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Faustino Amaya received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Vinicio Reus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Faustino Amaya had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Damian Valiente sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After a rather tough play, VERDANI - ADIÓS AL MZ's Honorato Orlondo got a free kick in the 51st minute. Octavio Abel struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Inocencio Araoz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Atletico River Plate. Honorato Orlondo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Vinicio Reus made a huge save. Club Atletico River Plate's Octavio Abel got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Club Atletico River Plate's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Damian Valiente 79 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-5. Faustino Amaya sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Club Atletico River Plate's Vinicio Reus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damian Valiente in the 94th minute of play. Damian Valiente recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Club Atletico River Plate fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. VERDANI - ADIÓS AL MZ were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
